Happy 25th Birthday, Windows 95!

Today is a really important Day, both for the industry and for me: it’s the 25th anniversary of Windows 95. Meanwhile it was already clear with Windows 3.1 where the industry was going to, with Windows 95 the GUI finally became mainstream. From a personal point of view, it was with Windows 95 that my migration from DOS to Windows was finally completed. I still remember the advertisement in TV, in the Radio, newspaper … everywhere, and it was great, also because thanks to Windows 95, computer where no more things related to few people, but literally everybody had a PC at home, running Windows 95.

25 years are gone and still Windows is the OS you want to use when you need to make your stuff done, we have seen this during the days of the pandemy. Thank you Windows 95 and looking forward to celebrate the next 25 years of Windows success 🙂

For those of you who speaks German, I leave you this official post of Microsoft Germany.
